“Let us endeavor to know God.  This is the beginning of  all wisdom.  For only this was man created.  At the start, we find God through His work in creation.  We then go up this ladder of wisdom to reach even higher levels of our understanding and knowledge of God.  We become like the earliest dawn that brightens slowly through the morning until we arrive at full daylight.  And then, as we are so focused in this, God will assist us and grant us wisdom, true knowledge, and true understanding which will pour down like the rain.”  Ibn Ezra
